LLDPE – Linear Low-Density Polyethylene

The Boosting Formula for Your Production Costs

LLDPE, which has higher tensile strength and elongation than standard LDPE, is generally used as a “strength enhancer” in blends. Derivatives based on Butene, Hexene or Octene (C4, C6, C8) are available. In bag production, it is mixed in specific proportions with LDPE or HDPE to increase the bag’s puncture resistance and strengthen the welded seams.

Key Features:

  • Puncture Resistance: Superior protection against sharp objects.

  • High Elongation: Up to 800% stretch before breaking.

  • Blend Compatibility: Excellent blending with other PE groups.

Applications:

  • Stretch films (hand and machine type)

  • Industrial packaging films

  • As an additive in bag formulations

  • Frozen food packaging
